My Mountain Nanny | Meet the Team!

Updated: Oct 17, 2023

Meet our experienced & passionate management team.

Ellie Simon

Nanny & Director @ My Mountain Nanny

Like so many seasonal workers I arrived in the Alps with the intention of completing just one Winter Season. After just three short days i'd fallen in love with the town, the mountains and my amazing new job as a 'Holiday Nanny'. In the five (almost six!) years since arriving in the valley I have been lucky enough to work with both local families & those on holiday.

I am now a permanent member of the mountain community, living with my partner, our little boy & two dogs.

In total, I have over 10 years experience working with children in a variety of roles including  Private Nanny, Teaching Assistant & Summer Camp Activity Leader. I am NCFE level 3 qualified, Trained in the SPELL Autism Framework, DBS Checked & First Aid Trained.

"K absolutely loved being with you and thinks that you are 'silly, and awesome and kind and gentle and fun!' It was great to meet you and we'll definitely be in touch if we're back next year." "Very professional, personable & really jumped in with enthusiasm. Ellie has a great relationship with children & L took to her immediately."

Emily Cakebread

Nanny & Director @ My Mountain Nanny

I did my first season several years ago, and have since made the French Alps my home. On my first season I was an Au Pair to a 2 and 4 year old. I have always loved children and the idea of working in childcare, being an Au Pair was the gateway in making that dream come true. I have been working with children since then, I worked as a Private Nanny, a Snow Little Nanny and helped manage the business.

From my very first season in the Alps I fell in love with the mountains and with all the various people who like me, are also drawn to living in this beautiful part of the world. Between seasons I have spent time travelling across Europe and visiting some amazing places. I am lucky to have grown up in France, it gave me the chance to not only understand but experience different cultures. I believe that my passion for travelling stemmed from my upbringing in a foreign country.

As of April 2020, I became the official owner and Manager of Snow Little. I am thrilled to be able to take the next steps with the business and to making so many children and families happy. So, here’s to all the amazing Nannies and families who make Snow Little so very special.

"Emily was brilliant. We had no problem leaving two young babies in her care. She also went above and beyond the call of duty by sourcing a twin mountain pram!"

"Absolutely perfect, on the ball, understanding children's need and how to talk to them, Extremely extremely satisfied!"
